Training
Startup Training
Bold Technologies provides free training with the purchase
of each piece of equipment a the time of equipment startup.
This training is usually done on-site with your maintenance,
technicians, operators, process and equipment engineers. This
training consists of :
To schedule startup training please call us at (801) 568-7300
weekdays, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST or send us an e-mail.
Please include your name, phone number, company name, equipment
serial number, and desired startup dates. Your training schedule
will be verified by phone or e-mail.
The following outline highlights the training you may receive
depending upon the equipment you are being trained on. Your
trainer may not follow this exact outline; however, the topics
will be covered by your trainer.
Equipment Startup
Attended by Process and Equipment Engineers
Equipment Startup Training consists of Equipment Facilitation
and Verification, Controller Setup and Programming, and Parameter
Changes and Process Tuning.
 |
Equipment Facilitation and Verification |
|
 |
Controller Setup and Programming |
|
| |
Controllers are setup using your parameters
and the equipment is tested for functionality. A detailed
explanation is given for each programmable parameter as
part of the training. Since Controllers and Control Systems
vary a detailed description is not provided here. The
training is customized to the specific piece of equipment. |
 |
Parameter Changes and Process Tuning |
|
| |
The parameters settings are discussed and
the ranges for each parameter is explained. You are shown
how to make changes to the process parameters, times,
and settings. Also you will be taught how to password
protect these parameters and setting to avoid inadvertent
changes. |
Maintenance Training
Attended by Maintenance Personnel and Technicians
Maintenance Training consist of the following categories:
Electrical Systems, Control Systems, Pneumatics and Robotics,
Plumbing and Pump Maintenance, Routine Maintenance and Filter
Changes, Alarms and System Troubleshooting, and Equipment
Shutdown and Startup. This training is designed to prepare
your personnel to effectively maintain and troubleshoot the
equipment. This insures the quickest response and repair for
you when your service technicians can quickly resolve a problem
on site.
 |
Electrical Systems |
|
| |
The electrical control systems are reviewed
along with schematics to familiarize technicians with
the wiring of the equipment. Locations of breakers, terminals,
relays and other components is covered. |
 |
Control Systems |
|
| |
Control systems are reviewed along with
the troubleshooting techniques to help pinpoint and fix
a problem. Input and outputs, machine control logic, and
sensors are reviewed. |
 |
Pneumatics and Robotics
(if applicable) |
|
| |
Pneumatic systems and controls are reviewed. Location
of pneumatic valves, solenoids, and plumbing schematics
are reviewed to familiarize you with how pneumatics
are used within the equipment.
Robotic systems may also be covered, along with recommended
maintenance and troubleshooting. Most robotic systems
combine electrical, and pneumatic systems to provide
motion and feedback to the equipment.
|
 |
Plumbing and Pump Maintenance |
|
| |
Plumbing schematics are review and recommended
pump maintenance, rebuilding, and replacement schedules
are discussed. |
 |
Routine Maintenance and Filter Changes |
|
| |
Chemical changes, filter changes and bulk
fill systems (if applicable) are covered along with applicable
techniques for pre-wetting filters (if required), and
system troubleshooting. |
 |
Alarms and System Troubleshooting |
|
| |
The equipment alarms states are covered
along with recommended procedures to troubleshoot and
clear the alarms. Overall system troubleshooting is discussed. |
 |
Equipment Shutdown and Startup |
|
| |
Emergency shutdown and restarting procedures
are discussed. Technicians are shown how to properly shutdown
the equipment and startup the equipment in the event of
a shutdown or need for transport or storage. |
Operator Training
Attended by Equipment Operators.
This training is focused on the operator function for the
day-to-day operation of the equipment.
 |
Station Operation and Cleaning |
|
| |
You will be taught how to operate and maintain
the station. Station cleaning and basic operation of the
equipment will be covered. The various functional features
will be pointed out. |
 |
Control Operator Interface |
|
| |
You will be instructed on the proper use
of the control system including recipe selection, remote
start/stop, indicator lights and normal operating conditions. |
 |
Alarms Conditions and Responses |
|
| |
We will train you regarding the system alarms,
how to silence the alarms, the level of severity of the
different alarms, and what you can do to clear the alarms.
Alarm conditions may require additional attention from
maintenance or service personnel. |
 |
Emergency Shutdown |
|
| |
You will be instructed and shown what to
do in case of an emergency. How to rapidly shutdown the
equipment and the location of the Emergency Power Off
(EPO) switch(s). |
Additional On-Site Training
Bold Technologies can provide additional on-site training
at your facility after startup. This may be required to train
new operators, maintenance personnel, of equipment engineers
on our equipment. This training is customized to your equipment
and specific need. Please contact
us if you require a quote or would like additional information
on our on-site training.
Additional Factory Training
This training is primarily focused on equipment maintenance
and repair. Advanced troubleshooting techniques, electrical
and pneumatic repair, and routine maintenance are covered.
Operator and engineer training can also be provided at the
factory by special arrangement. Please contact
us if you require a quote or would like additional information
on our factory training.
If you have a special training needs or requirements or you
do not see the training you require listed above, please contact
